	Environmental Taxation: Climate Change Levy

Friend considers future taxation policy, will she also consider the merits of moving further along the road of using environmental taxation? If she does so, she may be able to reduce tax rates below even those that the Government have so far been able to achieve. Dawn Primarolo The Paymaster General: I thank my hon. Friend for his support for the climate change levy, which was implicit in his question. Just in case the Chancellor did not hear his early Budget representation, I shall certainly make sure that those views are brought to my right hon. Friend's attention.
