Edinburgh North & Leith Labour MP Mark Lazarowicz is the first Edinburgh MP to have joined the world of blogging. He has just launched a blog on his Parliamentary website. In the first few days, he has covered subjects from the crisis in the Middle East to law and order issues in his constituency.
Mark said: "There are now hundreds, possibly thousands of people, in the Edinburgh area who write and visit blogs. I believe that MP's need to use as many ways as possible to keep in touch with their constituents, and there's no doubt there is now a growing blogging community, in Edinburgh as elsewhere. I hope that people in my constituency will take the chance of joining with me and other local residents to debate the key issues of the day - and to let me know what they feel about local issues and concerns today.
Mark added: "I am still a novice when it comes to blogging - so my blog is pretty basic at the moment - but I'm learning!).
