Mark has pressed Government Ministers for action
on airguns in a recent House of Commons debate. Along with local community
organisations in his constituency, Mark has launched a public petition calling
for the Government to clamp down on the use of airguns and replica guns
and has secured a Commons debate to raise the issue. The
campaign urges the government to take action to clamp down on the use of
airguns and replica guns. The petition wants the Government to take action
to bring about:
- A ban on replica guns
- Air weapons to be banned except in cases of genuine
sporting and other acceptable uses, such as for pest control, and then
only under licence.
- No-one under 18 to be allowed to use or to
possess an air weapon.
